It seems that Paul Pogba is once again on Real Madrid’s radar. Or rather, he never really left as he remains one of Zinedine Zidane’s greatest wishes for the upcoming transfer market, as per new reports coming out of Marca.

But this is really nothing new and the Frenchman wanting to leave Manchester United is also yesterday’s news. But many Madridistas can’t comprehend why exactly is Zidane insisting on Pogba and Pogba alone. Some even said that this obsession of his will be his undoing in the future while others were even stating that their gaffer has gone mad.
Of course, bringing in someone of Pogba’s stature seems to be a really attractive prospect to many other fans at the same time. They, as opposed to the previous batch of people, would love to see Manchester United’s star don the royal white of Real Madrid.
And they do have a point as well. After all, when he’s fit and firing on all cylinders, Pogba is very much a top player. After all, we’ve seen that much last season when he banged in a total of 16 goals and assisted another 11 across all competitions.

For that reason, one fan even stated he could become Luka Modric’s heir at the club and finally take them to the next level.
But the problem with his possible arrival is that it could stop the progress of some of their young players such as Federico Valverde or their loanees like Martin Odegaard and Dani Ceballos and some fans were quick to point that out while also bashing Pogba as well, calling him average and inconsistent.
With both Valverde and Odegaard having brilliant seasons so far, however, it does seem counterproductive to bring in someone who would probably send them back into the pipeline and take the precious minutes away from them.
Zidane will have to think this through and decide whether this transfer is actually worth all the trouble…
In other news, Real Madrid are also seemingly on the hunt for Arsenal’s unsettled star who could bring some additional firepower to the squad…
